WILMINGTON-WEST DOVER ROUTE SCHEDULE CHANGES OCTOBER 6TH

      Wilmington:  The Wilmington-West Dover #7 route schedule changes on October 6^th.

Service after 6:00 pm Friday-Saturday evenings will no longer be available spring, summer, and fall. Saturday, September 28^th will be the last day that the MOOver will run until 11:00 pm. Service until 11:00 pm resumes December 13, 2024-April 6, 2025.

The reason for the change is financial. There are very few riders after 6:00 pm in the non-winter months. Operating costs have far outpaced available federal, state, and local funding, and SEVT has made a series of other route cuts in recent months to try to narrow the funding gap.

“No one likes to see service cuts,” said Randy Schoonmaker, SEVT CEO. “But we have to make any cost savings we can. Ridership after 6:00 pm Friday-Saturday nights during the non-winter months has fallen below the point where we can justify the cost of operating it.”
