MOOver SCHEDULES PUBLIC MEETING ON BRATTLEBORO MICROTRANSIT

Release Date: April 23, 2025

WILMINGTON:  Southeast Vermont Transit (SEVT aka The MOOver) is hosting a public meeting to discuss the cessation of Brattleboro’s Microtransit project.

The meeting will start May 12th at 3:00 pm in the Select Board Meeting Room of the Brattleboro Municipal Center to discuss the June 13, 2025 end of the town’s microtransit service. The meeting will be televised live on BCTV and on Zoom. Visit www.moover.com for the link.

The service began on April 15, 2024 and was funded by the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation and the Town of Brattleboro Human Services Fund through February of this year. The Vermont Agency of Transportation provided funding to extend it until June 2025.

The service was discontinued for the period July 1, 2025-June 30, 2026 because of a lack of local funding and because it did not meet the state’s route performance standards. Ridership has averaged around 18 rides per day which was below acceptable state standards. SEVT made a series of other route cuts earlier this year to align current operating expenses with limited state and federal funding.
