MOOver RESTORES SERVICE ON FOUR WINTER ROUTES

WILMINGTON, VT   The MOOver will restore service on four winter seasonal routes that did not run last year due to the driver shortages caused by the pandemic.

The Greenspring, Kingswood, Timber Creek, and Suntec/Bears Crossing routes will run a  normal schedule from Thanksgiving to late March this year. The MOOver had already planned to run service on the Mount Snow Base Area and parking lots routes this winter but was waiting to see if it could recruit enough drivers to operate the other four routes.

“We thank the owners, guests, Boards, and managers of these properties for their patience and support going back as far as 25 years”, said Randy Schoonmaker, SEVT CEO. “They stood by us when we could not serve them, and they waited until late this year to hear from us.”

The issue has been attracting enough drivers. Many retired last year or were uncomfortable driving during the pandemic. SEVT ran two aggressive recruiting programs – one in the Deerfield Valley and one in the Connecticut River Valley – to attract enough drivers to restore service throughout its 34-town territory.

Exact schedules are being discussed and will be announced shortly.
